Berry Evening Tea

Sometimes a hot drink is the perfect way to end a long summer day.

Put a little twist on your go-to cup of tea.

Once the heat has passed and the wind has kicked up, there is something to be said about wrapping your hand around a perfectly calming cuppa’ tea.

That being said, I don’t know about you, but I’ve begun to experiment with adding things other than honey (or the occasional splash of lemon juice) to my herbal teas, and this recipe is the result of one such happy accident.

All you need is a splash of haskap juice to really brighten up your evening cup.

Estimated Time

Prep Time: 5 min Make time: 1 min

Makes: Roughly 1 cup

Ingredients

2 tablespoons of loose chamomile tea

A splash of haskap juice

Local unpasturized honey to taste

Directions

  1. Steep your chamomile tea in 500ml of just boiled water for at least 4-5 minutes and cover your cup while you let it sit. You can leave you tea bag in afterwards if you like or your strainer if you can drink around it.

  2. Add a splash of haskap juice and sweeten to taste with some local honey.

  3. Enjoy!
