Haskap Berry Simple Syrup
Haskap Simple Syrup, An Unsung Summer Hero
A burst of brightness and fruitiness added to all manner of summer delights.
Fruit-infused simple syrup is an ingredient that is more versatile than it gets credit for, and it is so simple to make. It stores for a good amount of time, so if you want to make a good batch and keep it in the fridge you absolutely can.
Here are some of my favorite ways to use this unsung kitchen hero:
Add a splash to some bubbly water to get a fruity fresh kick.
Sweeten some homemade iced tea, cold herbal tea, kombucha or lemonade.
Brush it onto a plain cake or muffins to give them extra moisture and flavor.
Drizzle it over fruit salad along with some fresh herbs, a squeeze of lemon, and a sprinkle of salt for the best fruit salad you’ve ever had!
